When employees and Wakeurs lend their voices

Recently, Barclays employees volunteered with beneficiaries of the Wake Up Café association—current or former inmates—to help them develop the skills and confidence they need for their reintegration journey. Over three days, they worked together on the presentation of these professional projects. How can one present their project, skills, and soft skills to convince an employer, a training manager, or an investor?

With Florian Pittion-Rossillon, two preparation workshops and pitch sessions with employees allowed about ten Wakeurs to get started, refine, or perfect their speeches. At the end of these two days, we accompanied them all to the Arc de Triomphe to record audio capsules featuring commentaries on artworks. After being coached by an actress, they recorded their voices at the microphone.

What changes at the end of the workshops: – for the Wakeurs: easy and effective tools to talk about their projects; – for the employees: deconstructed preconceptions and a simple way to give their time.

These 10 capsules will be accessible within the walls of the Arc de Triomphe and available free of charge. They will allow everyone—visitors, visually impaired or blind tourists, and others—to gain key insights into the works presented. The capsules are also available on Spotify and SoundCloud.
