… and delivered to the Samusocial de Paris
Throughout 2023, employees from several companies assembled more than 270 game boxes for children accommodated by the Samusocial de Paris. In these temporary accommodation facilities, children aged 3 to 6 are often kept in their strollers all day, for reasons of overcrowding and safety. In this context, they have little space to learn the small movements that will develop their fine motor skills—the skills that will enable them to learn to write, in particular, when they start school. Designed for, and in consultation with, the Samusocial de Paris, this box therefore includes 4 simple games: a puzzle to put together, missing pieces to find, a card to stitch, and beads to thread. These activities are inspired by Montessori pedagogy and, little by little, will develop these motor skills. Made from postcards of artworks, these games are also a first introduction to art, bringing beauty into places that lack it. Once assembled, these boxes are handed over by us to the Samusocial de Paris, which then distributes them to families via a dedicated team of facilitators.
