Visits eagerly awaited by associations

For the 4th consecutive year, the City of Paris has renewed its trust in us, asking us to accompany groups of people with psychosocial disabilities through the works of Nuit Blanche. On June 3rd, during the first summer edition of this popular contemporary art event, we led 3 groups of about fifteen people each on a tour. We chose a route in the center of Paris where many artistic proposals were concentrated. The objective for these beneficiaries of local associations is twofold: to discover artworks, of course, but above all to step outside their structures to take part in a large-scale popular event—in short: to feel like active stakeholders in the life of the city. These visits are also accompanied by a booklet in easy-to-read French (FALC), in which 12 works are commented on and made more accessible to everyone. This booklet is free and can be downloaded by anyone. It is used before the event, but also afterwards for French language learning or writing workshops.

“We were all delighted with this visit. The weather was on our side. We really enjoyed the magnificent locations chosen. The information provided was very clear and interesting. We were thrilled by the professionalism of your lecturer, her kindness, her availability, and her adaptability. Thank you for this delightful moment of sharing.” Claudine B., Secours populaire “We thank you for the visit, the explanations, and your good humor. I also think it was good, even ‘reassuring’ as well as pleasant, for the participants to meet you again following the last Nuit Blanche, to share this moment. Regarding this evening of June 3rd, the main objective seems to have been achieved, since everyone was delighted and seems to have truly had a good time—short, certainly, but sufficient to enjoy the visit (and a small meal afterwards), while being able to chat but above all to be together… Thank you.” Patrice D., Association Aurore
