After a visit to the newly reopened museum, which highlights the culinary arts at sea, we worked on French expressions containing culinary terms: &#8220;the cherry on the cake,&#8221; &#8220;telling salads&#8221; (telling tall tales), &#8220;having bottle&#8221; (having experience)&#8230; What do these expressions mean? Are there similar expressions in the cultures of the women present at the workshop? After these intercultural exchanges, each participant traced a pattern and a word on the same theme onto a napkin. They then embroidered them to better internalize the language and exchange with others on related topics. A few anchor-shaped biscuits completed this convivial moment. In the end, there were as many napkins as participants, work on the language without even realizing it, and above all, a moment of collective sharing.
